Robyn L. Gobin, Ph.D is a licensed clinical psychologist (IL) and assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Her program of research focuses on alleviating the mental health effects of interpersonal trauma by developing and testing novel interventions for trauma-exposed populations. She is also interested in the use of technology to deliver mental health interventions, reducing mental health stigma, and investigating the cultural context of trauma recovery among African Americans.

In addition to her research, Dr. Gobin maintains a private practice where she enjoys using empirically supported treatments and mindfulness-based interventions to help culturally diverse survivors of sexual violence reclaim their lives. Through her research and clinical work, Dr. Gobin seeks to promote health and wellness in diverse traumatized populations. Dr. Gobin has resided in the Champaign-Urbana community for four years.  One thing that she loves about this community is the tasty dining options in the downtown district of Champaign.
