Over the course of the past few weeks, there have been several exciting trips that our lab members have embarked on to engage with local fishery and natural resource stakeholders. A couple of our interns were given the opportunity to go on a week-long NGRREC field course, where they were able to get hands-on experiences with a broad range of natural resource managing practices and careers.

This week was also an exciting time for our lab as some of our members were able to visit Southern IL and learn about wetland and conservation reserve programs as well as other water-related issues across the state. Many of us also made it out to a wonderful fishing trip in Lake Michigan, where we had the opportunity to engage with local anglers and experts in fisheries- rounding out a very fun and productive week!
