I have some updates for students pursuing a health profession:
· The Prerequisite Coursework flyers are all updated and can be viewed on our website at https://www.careercenter.illinois.edu/health%20professions. If you would like physical copies of these flyers, please e-mail me with the flyer(s) name and total number you would like.
· This semester The Career Center is starting a pilot program, the Health Professions Certificate program. This will be a semester long program to help students stay on track with their health career goals, and help them become a competitive applicant to graduate and professional programs. We are hoping that this may be a way for students not currently utilizing The Career Center and a Health Professions Advisor to connect with us. I am reaching out to you, in the hope, that you will advertise this program to your students. I have attached the application form and the certificate completion form which outlines the requirements of the program. Please share widely.
· Over the next two weeks we will be hosting information sessions for health profession students. These are designed for first year and transfer students. Please encourage your students to attend. All occur at noon at The Career Center Interview Suite located at 616 E Green Street.

· Thursday, Aug. 28 Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy

· Thursday, Sept. 4 Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Veterinary Medicine
· Please encourage your students to attend the Health Related RSO Fair. This is an opportunity for new and transfer students to identify pre-health clubs and get involved. Light refreshments and snacks will also be served.
· Wednesday, Sept. 3 5-7pm at the SDRP (Ikenberry Commons) MPR 2025 A and B
