Study in Yellowstone THIS SUMMER

STUDY IN YELLOWSTONE — THIS SUMMER!

Political Science 224, “Politics of the Greater Yellowstone Area”

This course uses Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Gallatin National Forest as our laboratory to examine environmental politics. Topics include ecosystem management, wildlife policy, public lands use, the impact of tourism on the environment, the Wilderness Act, Endangered Species Act, and the politics of outdoor recreation. We meet with stakeholders and national park resource specialists while experiencing the region through hikes and tours. We are in the field June 21-29, 2014. The course counts toward Gen Ed credit in Social and Behavioral Sciences. See the website for more information: http://publish.illinois.edu/pahre/study-in-yellowstone-this-summer/
