Writers Workshop: http://www.cws.illinois.edu/workshop/

The Writers Workshop, part of the Center for Writing Studies, is the writing center at Illinois. They provide free writing assistance for University of Illinois students, faculty, and staff from all disciplines and at all stages of the writing process. You will be able to discuss your writing with consultants who are experienced writers and teachers of writing. Call (217) 333-8796, or stop by, to set up a 50-minute session at one of our Workshop locations.

The Career Center serves all students of The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign regarding professional and career development. Through collaborative and innovative programs, services, and resources, the staff seeks to educate and empower students to actively plan their futures as contributing members of a global community. The Career Center serves all students, but there are also Career Services staff in many colleges and departments who provide services for students enrolled in specific programs and majors.

Counseling Center services are designed to help students address many of the academic, relational, social, and emotional concerns they face. The staff is trained and prepared to help you through whatever issues you may need assistance with, whether it be mental health issues like depression and anxiety, or academic issues such as time management and studying skills, or adjustment issues such as transition to college, roommate problems and homesickness.

Appropriate modifications to academic requirements may be made on a case-by-case basis to ensure educational opportunity for students with disabilities, and specific course requirements may be modified to permit equal participation by students with disabilities.  Any student who has a disability and who can benefit from any adjustments to the classroom should speak with the director and/or instructors. If you haven’t already, you should also contact the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services (217-333-1970) for assistance with accommodations.
