Teaching Videos

This lecture was generated as part of a graduate level wave propagation course. Each class participant contributed three lectures of one hour long about a relevant topic. This lecture was presented in a flipped classroom style in order to maximize the hands-on time in the class working through the homework.

The title of this lecture is Advanced Topics in MATLAB. The goal of the lecture was to introduce engineering graduate students to fundamental concepts of higher level computational frameworks. Specifically the concepts of advanced datatypes, speed optimization and graphical user interfaces. Over the course of graduate studies a introductory knowledge of these concepts can greatly improve a students ability to solve and analyse wave propagation behaviors through proper usage of our computation tools.

The shared lecture materials includes:

– An overview chapter that covers the material (Link :  Topic17-MATLAB.pdf ).

– A flipped classroom lecture video to be watched before the class meets (Link : Youtube Video ).

– A homework assignment to be completed by the end of class (Link : Assignment.pdf / AssignmentMatlabFiles.zip ).
