Abstract:The ultrasonic shear wave array method is an emerging mechanical nondestructive testing technology that provides visualizations of the internal structure of concrete members. The authors review the application of the method, demonstrate an example NDT field application, and propose improvements to the method’s existing data analysis procedure for concrete deck thickness measurements.
