Biography

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science, Bioengineering; Education Track Biomechanics University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, IL

 

He is an engineer on cross-functional team researching and designing anatomical models and phantoms for simulation based ultrasound education and training. He possesses deep skills in anatomy and physiology.  He is involved in projects such as Dynamic Blood Flow Simulator (patented), Carotid Variable Occlusion Trainer (patent pending), Distal Radius Fracture Reduction Simulator, and Cadaveric Perfusion Trainer; Simulation solutions are part of both a simulation education curriculum and a technology start-up created to fund sustainability.

 

He is a lead bioengineer working with a senior pediatric cardiologist on rendering and 3D printing of pediatric heart models. He has been esponsible for importing MRI/CT DICOMs to threshold pertinent anatomy using Mimics (Materialise) and ImageJ software. He has experience working with orthopedic and neuro-surgery pieces as well.
