In February, we will be reading a domestic tragedy by Robert Yarington with one of my favorite titles. It reads as follows:
Two Lamentable Tragedies: the one of the murder of Master Beech, a chaudler in Thames-street, and his boy, done by Thomas Merry; the other, of a young child murdered in a wood by two ruffians, with the consent of his uncle.
I recently ran across a blog detailing staged readings of the play this summer and coming fall, supplementing a dissertation project at University College London by Emma Whipday. Follow her progress on the blog and check out video from staged readings at the Hungtingdon Library on her YouTube channel.
