Art Connection

Kara Dalkey describes her vision of Atlantis in the Water Trilogy.  These books can be used as an art connection in two ways.  First, you can have students draw, paint, sculpt, etc. their idea of what an underwater city would look like.  Second, you can read aloud specific passages from the trilogy and then have students draw, paint, sculpt, etc. their interpretations of Dalkey’s descriptions of Atlantis.  I have listed below some places in the book series descriptive passages of Atlantis can be found; however, for copyright purposes, I have chosen not to re-write the passages here.
