Faculty Advisor

Dr. Eunjung Grace Oh

Dr. Oh is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Development in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Her research interest includes the effective design and integration of learning and technological innovations for adult learners to support their learning, performance, and career development. She teaches courses on Instructional and Training System Design, Learning Technologies, Online Teaching and Learning, Adult and Professional Education, Program Evaluation, and Management of eLearning. She is also a coordinator of Human Resource Development Online Programs as well as undergraduate Workplace Training and Development Concentration of Learning and Education Studies

Steven Dunn

Steven Dunn is an Ed.D. student in the Department of Education, Policy, Organization, and Leadership, with a concentration in Human Resource Development. Steven has a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management, and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems.  Steven has more than 20 years of experience in corporate Human Resources Management with emphases in Talent Development, Employee Relations, Leadership Development, and general HR Management. His research interest is in Learning and Development, especially in the area of Employee Engagement and On-the-Job Training.  Mr. Dunn is currently working as a Regional Human Resources Manager for a privately-held manufacturer and fabricator of architectural glass and metal.

Adetutu Fabusoro

Adetutu Fabusoro is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Education, Policy, Organization, and Leadership, with a concentration in Human Resource Development. Adetutu has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts and another master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (TESL). She has more than 10 years of experience in the corporate sector HR Learning and Development, Marketing, Relationship management, and the media in her country, and 3 years of experience in higher education teaching here in the US. Her research interest is in Corporate Organization’s DEI and Learning and Development, especially in the area of Communicative Competence, performance perception and Language Learning in Corporate America. She is currently a Teaching Assistant with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  

Hyerim Riley Kang

Hyerim Riley Kang is a 2nd year Ph. D. student with a Human Resource Development (HRD) concentration in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership (EPOL) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, and International Office Administration, and a master’s degree in Vocational Education and Workforce Development. With extensive research and work experience in business corporations, government and public affairs, and higher education institutions, her doctoral research interest centers around the organizational adaptability and agility, especially focusing on the dynamics of diversity and digital learning technologies. Currently, she is a graduate teaching assistant for the Instructional and Training System Design course at EPOL. She also serves as the Student Representative of the Korean Academy of Human Resource Development in the Americas (KAHRDA).

Viktoria Loidl

Viktoria Loidl is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership (EPOL) with a concentration in Human Resource Development (HRD). She received a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in European Union Studies. Her doctoral research interests revolve around the future of work: 1) preparing organizations and employees for the digital transformation and 2) sustainable careers and the meaning of work. Viktoria is also a graduate teaching assistant for the LAS First-Year Experience. 

Shoptorshi Rahman

Shoptorshi Rahman is a PhD candidate in HRD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where she is affiliated with the Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership (EPOL) department. Her research focuses on the experiences of first-time managers who have moved from technical roles to managerial roles in their organizations. She investigates how this transition affects their professional identity. Shoptorshi has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration and more than four years of experience in Foreign Trade and Finance division of the banking industry. Currently, she serves as the Principal Instructor for the Facilitation Skills course at the College of Education in Illinois. Shoptorshi has worked as an Instructional Designer Intern in agile software development, where she led the onboarding process for newly hired professionals. She also conducts career workshops and professional development programs for diverse talents at the Career Center at Illinois. Shoptorshi has received numerous awards, including the FLAS Fellowship, the Hove Graduate Scholarship Award, and the Summer Supplemental Block Grant. She is the recipient of the FABAC-Tomlinson Fellowship for the 2022-2023 academic year. As an active member of the AHRD, she is a certified peer-reviewer for top HRD scholarly journals, such as HRDI and HRDR, on a global scale.
