Faculty Conference Coordinator   

 

Dr. Eunjung Grace Oh is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Development in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Her research interest includes teaching and learning in online and technology-enhanced learning environments to facilitate meaningful learning and engagement, different generational groups of workforce in terms of their learning, use of and perspective about technology, and design-based research. She teaches courses on Training Systems Design/Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Online Teaching and Learning, Adult and Professional Education, Program Evaluation, and Management of eLearning. She is also a coordinator of undergraduate Workplace Training and Development Concentration of Learning and Education Studies. Her PhD is in Learning, Design and Technology from the University of Georgia.

Student officers

Seokwon Sam Hwang 

Sam is a PhD student in EPOL department. He is interested in the facilitating behaviors of a supervisor in on-the-job learning, such as managerial coaching and personal development plans. Also, the other research interests are MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses) for developing workforce, and employee engagement issues for frontline workers. In Korea, he had various HRD job experience, like organization development, employee and leadership training, online training, e-HR system development, and HR consulting. On campus, he usually supports the online learning programs.

Andrew Sanghyun Lee

Andrew is a Ph.D. candidate of Human Resource Development at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds a MS in Business Administration and Ed.M. in Human Resource Education from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has worked as a Graduate Research Assistant to cooperate with Republic of Korea Army officer training program. He has also served as a Teaching Assistant for several on-campus and online courses in HRD. His research interest includes organizational socialization, competency modeling, talent management, performance consulting, national HR policy, and knowledge management.

Anne Namatsi Lutomia

Anne Namatsi Lutomia is a PhD candidate in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership. She holds a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University in Minnesota. Her dissertation focuses on North-South scientific collaboration, specifically the process of collaboration in a scientific program based in the US and Benin. She has worked in the corporate and nonprofit sectors in Kenya and the United States in administrative positions. In Nairobi, Kenya she worked with PriceWaterhouse Coopers and International Planned Parenthood Federation-Center for African Studies. In the US, she has worked with Women’s Initiative for Self-Empowerment (WISE) in St. Paul, Minnesota and The Cultural Wellness Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has also served as a board member for the Channing Murray Foundation and the C-U West African Drum and Dance Collective. Anne is a past of recipient of the prestigious Maria Pia Gratton International Award, the William Chandler Bagley Doctoral Scholarship and the Thelma and Orin Hove scholarship.

Jelena Pokimica

Jelena is an advanced PhD student with research interests in learning in international university partnerships, organizational development and change, and theoretical and applied research. She has worked in a variety of settings, including Case Western Reserve University, the Cleveland Clinic, and non-profits, as a researcher. Jelena is a native Serbian and she has lived in several countries, such as France and Demark, besides the U.S. and Serbia, possessing broad multilingual and cultural experiences. Most recently, she visited Hong Kong (2017) as part of an award to present her research at a post-graduate student conference. She was also a recipient of the Donna Riechmann HRD award in 2014. In the summer of 2018, she assisted multiple groups of visiting students from China and Singapore, conducting research methods and English language workshops. She has also collaborated with the Institute of International Education (IIE) – Chicago.
