We are an all-inclusive chapter and we welcome the participation of all individuals who support the mission of SACNAS. One of our goals is to promote diversity in STEM by encouraging and providing
students with resources to succeed in the sciences. We believe in being inclusive of all people in order to promote diversity in the sciences. Thus, we have added “Friends” to our chapter name in order to reflect the welcoming of individuals who are interested in joining our cause as our allies. It is our intention to foster a sense of community to students of all backgrounds.

Here is an opportunity to present your work and connect with other SACNAS chapters at the Regional Midwest SACNAS Conference at the University of Chicago on Saturday April 6! We will be providing transportation to and from the conference! Here is a link to UC’s webpage about the event and here is information about registration:

If your students would like their research poster or talk to be considered for a presentation, the deadline for abstract submissions is February 15th, 2019.

Join SACNAS as we present a workshop all about applying to grad school! We will cover what you will need to prepare and what to expect during the process, from people who have done it themselves. There will be free food and USBs that contain valuable information and resources for applying to graduate school!

The group had a fun day continuing our traditional apple picking trip to Curtis Orchard and pumpkin patch!
