Transgender Students and Employees Training

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Access would like to invite you to join us for a TrainEd webinar, “Transgender Students and Employees: The New Civil Rights Frontier?”    Topics include:

 •             An overview of the emerging transgender civil rights frontier

•             Key terms and concepts to promote cultural competency

•             The evolving legal landscape related to transgender student and employee rights

•             Potential compliance issues and approaches

 Join us for this training opportunity on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from noon-1:30p.m. at Illini Union, Room 407. This event will be held over the lunch hour, so please feel free to bring a sack lunch.

2016 MLK Jr. Celebration

Please find the 2016 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebrations calendar attached.  The events kick off on Friday January 15, 2016 and you will find a full week of programs planned.  Please join us for any of the programs you are able to attend.  I would like to request that you share this information widely with your students, staff, faculty and any others who may be interested, and encourage wide-spread participation as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
