Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists

The Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists recognize the country’s most promising faculty-rank researchers in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemistry. One Blavatnik Laureate in each disciplinary category will receive $250,000 in unrestricted funds, and additional nominees will be recognized as Finalists. Information about the previous year’s Laureates and Finalists can be found on the Blavatnik website.

Award/Prize amount: $250,000
Application/Nomination information: Blavatnik is a limited submission opportunity. The Office of the Provost will submit up to three nominations, one in each category. Please review eligibility criteria and other requirements prior to submitting a nomination.

Use the online form to upload the following information (in one document) for the internal campus competition:

  • Date of birth (nominees must be 42 or younger – born in or after 1981);
  • Disciplinary category (see list on Blavatnik website);
  • Rationale for the nomination (200-word maximum);
  • Research Summary (1,000-word maximum, paragraph form); and
  • Current CV

Nomination packages for the Physical Sciences & Engineering Category must be submitted by midnight August 19, 2022.
