I am studying Animal Sciences here at UIUC with a concentration in Technology and Management, and have been working in the Wildlife Disease Ecology Laboratory since my sophomore year. I am involved in the Chronic Wasting Disease research carried out in the lab, and I have done a lot with maintaining and developing the genetic inventory of both normal and infected tissues. This experience has given me great insight not only into the methods of CWD control and transmission, but also hands-on exposure to animal growth and development from working with fetuses.
