My research interests are: (1) building a dysarthric speech database to advance speech science research and ASR technologies, (2) understanding the nature of acoustic degradation in motor speech disorder and its impact on speech intelligibility, and (3) developing evidence-based communication aids that are effective and functional in real-world situations for people with communication disorders.
