Richard III

King Richard III was the last English king to die in battle. The battlefield where Richard III met his death is today a heritage site. Visit it virtually at this website: https://www.bosworthbattlefield.org.uk 

After Richard III’s death in 1485 in the Battle of Bosworth, the last significant battle in the Wars of the Roses, his body was lost to history. Over five hundred years later, a team of archaeologists and other scientists, along with the King Richard III Society, located his remains in the city of Leicester where the Greyfriars Church had been at the time. Below is a video from The Telegraph with more details about the extraordinary finding.
