All the President’s Men Review

The film “All the President’s Men” told the story from the Watergate Scandal in 1972. The film does a fine job of showing how to conduct real life investigative journalism. The two journalists that uncover the scandal are Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein who worked for the Washington Post. While the scandal is intriguing, it is not the most interesting movie. For the age of the movie, the acting is not bad and the two main characters, Robert Redford (Woodward) & Dustin Hoffman (Bernstein), do a good job at showing the persistence and hard work that happened during the real life event. Some of the scenes in the newsroom are dull, but the facts are spot on and the main message of the film is portrayed and carried throughout the whole film. I found the ending of the film to be interesting as we hear Nixon get inaugurated while we see the typewriter typing out about the whole scandal and little does Nixon know he is going to resign within his presidency.
