Responsibilities

The Actuarial Analyst position will be part of the Berkley Healthcare Actuarial/Data/Analytics team.  In this role, you will support all aspects of pricing for several key lines of business including medical malpractice, financial lines, and commercial auto for Berkley Healthcare.   Areas of responsibility include:

  • Develop and upgrade pricing models as needed
  • Review and update actuarial assumptions underlying pricing models
  • Drive improvements in data collection and management of data supporting pricing
  • Work closely with underwriting on account specific and aggregate pricing issues
  • Enhance underwriting support tools including metrics and dashboards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3+ years of experience working in property/casualty insurance
  • Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, Visual Basic
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing and able to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
