Adolescents’ Everyday Experiences

Seeking Families for the “Adolescents’ Everyday Experiences” Study

In collaboration with Dr. Kelly M. Tu, we are seeking families with teens between the ages of 11 and 14 to participate in a study about adolescents’ everyday experiences. The study will involve a 1.5 hour visit to the ADAPT Lab to complete (1) surveys about relationships with their family and peers, school adjustment, and mental and physical health; (2) an interview. The interview will involve questions for adolescents about their experiences that day, and questions for parents about their interactions with their adolescent. The lab visit will be followed by bi-nightly phone interviews from project staff over the span of 2 weeks. The phone interviews will involve the same questions that they answered during the lab visit. After the phone interviews are completed, families will be asked to complete a brief set of surveys. Families will be compensated for their participation.

If your family or a family you know is interested, please contact us for more information: The ADAPT Lab at adaptlabuiuc@gmail.com or (217) 300-2211. Please indicate that you are interested in the “Adolescents’ Everyday Experiences” study.
