Jae’da Thompson  (she/her) is a junior in the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Diversity. She is interested in the different ways environment and circumstance affect the African American family. She wants to explore how mental health is perceived within the African American family and the societal pressures that have shaped this perception. Jae’da plans to attend Medical School after graduating and wants to practice Psychiatry.

Jennifer Quintana is currently a senior undergraduate student in the College of ACES majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child & Adolescent Development, along with a minor in Child Health and Well-being. She is interested in discovering how the impact of social media content differs within different racial groups. Jennifer hopes to get a master’s degree in social work and become a school social worker in the Chicago area.
