She is interested in emerging adulthood development in a digital and racialized world with a particular focus on Black populations and its impact on mental health outcomes and stress. Chelsea received a B.S. in Sociology and Economics from Hampton University.

Alia Alicea is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. She is interested in Black Maternal Health and Community Health. Alia received a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development from UIUC
Anisa Codamon, B.A., MPH
Anisa is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. She is interested in family health among racialized and immigrant families in the U.S., and how historical trauma contributes to intergenerational family health outcomes. Anisa received a B.A. in anthropology and an M.P.H. from Northwestern University.
Heather A. Jones, A.M., LCSW.
Heather A. Jones is a third-year Ph.D. student in the School of Social Work with a minor concentration in African American Studies. She is interested in understanding the etiology, treatment, and prevention of depression in Black families. Heather received a B.A. in African & Black Diaspora Studies and English from DePaul University and has a MSW from the University of Chicago.
