GLOBAL STUDIES COURSE ABROAD (GLBL 298) 6 credits
Students run a summer camp in collaboration with an Ecuadorian NGO, developing professional skills in the areas of:
– Teaching, classroom management, and curricular design in health, arts, environment, and ESL
– Interpreting, translation, and cross-cultural communication in Spanish and English
– Leadership and management
– Ethnographic research and critical analysis in the social sciences

2015 PROGRAM FEE: $3,565 – $4,215
Fees are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations and the number of participants.
Included: round-trip airfare Chicago-Quito, housing, meals, program excursions, and international insurance
Not Included: Books (est. $25), optional cell phone rental ($50), and personal expenses (est. $500)
