Boren Awards: International Study for Undergrad & Grad Students – Sessions 12/4 & 12/5

Please forward this information to potentially interested students.  Boren welcomes applicants from many different fields of study and encourages linguistic and cultural competence in less-commonly-taught languages and regions underrepresented in study abroad:

******************************
Studying a less-commonly-taught language*? Seeking linguistic and cultural immersion? Boren Undergraduate Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for freshman through seniors, and graduate students at all levels, to study language and culture in non-Western regions critical to US interests. Must be a US citizen.

The strongest candidates have a solid academic record and the potential to succeed in their proposed study abroad experience, as well as clear plans for how they will use the target language in their future academic and professional endeavors. Boren Scholars commit to working in the federal government for at least 1 year after graduation.
