GLBL 499: Managing Dystopia: Experiencing the End of the World through Film

Please spread the word to your students about a new 3 credit Global Studies course being taught in Summer 1. The description is written below and the flyer is attached.
Global Studies is offering a new, 3 credit film-based interdisciplinary course in Summer 1 (May 19 to June 13). The course will be co-taught by Tim Wedig and Tanu Kohli and is titled, Managing Dystopia- Experiencing the End of the World Through Film. The course is designed to understand individual, societal and national response to existential crises manufactured by humans and external actors (think aliens and zombies). We will watch movies, discuss interdisciplinary texts, conduct logical analysis of global threats and; debate the possibility of viable national and global solutions to these crises. This course will count towards campus advanced hour requirements.
