COMPANION ANIMAL
SPRING BREAK TRIP
March 24th – 27th (Monday – Thursday)
We will travel for four days to get exclusive, behind the scenes tours at many different companion/exotic animal organizations. Join the trip to explore the many career opportunities available for students studying animal sciences.
Behind the scenes tours, many not available to the public, to many companion animal, equine, and exotic animal related organizations such as;
· Nestle-Purina
· Natura Pet Products
· Nature’s Variety Pet Food
· Oxbow Pet Products
· Longmeadow Rescue Ranch
· Wisconsin Humane Society
· Behind the scenes tour with a keeper at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo
· Kansas Specialty Dog Service
· Heartland Farm Sanctuary
A trip fee of $250-300will cover bus, hotel, breakfast, and admission/tour fees. Prices will reduce as more people sign up, so tell your friends to join! J
The trip (with completion of a reflective journal) qualifies as 1 credit in ANSC 398 (Experiential Learning Requirement); register using CRN 59408
The registration deadline has been extended to December 20, 2013. Students who register will be provided with further instructions on completing the required MOA for ANSC 398, as well as more information about final payment amount, deadlines, etc.
