RHET 199- Intro to Creative Writing

Please let your students know about an excellent new course in the Creative Writing major that is open to all students:

RHET 199: Introduction to Creative Writing (AL1 UNDERGRADUATE OPEN SEMINAR), John Rubins. FALL 2013.  Lect: MW 11; Disc: F Various times
SEATS AVAILABLE !

If you’ve ever wondered how it is that writers actually sit down and write a story or a poem you may want to take this course.   You just might be surprised by how it is that writers actually do what they do.  You will learn from practicing writers in both lecture and discussions and will even have a chance to work on your own creative work.  As for those who worry there may be no practical application of this course to the professional world consider this, that most of the time writing students are doing two things: discussing and wondering how it is and why it is that people behave the way they do, and working on understanding and perfecting written communication.  Students from a range of majors, from Political Science and Molecular Biology to Dance and Music, have enrolled in and enjoyed our courses.
