We’re offering LLS 100 Intro Latina/Latino Studies as an online course during summer 2013. The class fulfills the US Minority Culture(s) general education requirement.

LLS 100  Intro Latina/Latino Studies
(ONLINE COURSE TAUGHT SEMESTER 2: June 10 – August 1)
Interdisciplinary introduction to the basis for a Latina/Latino ethnicity in the United States. Topics include immigration and acculturation experiences and their commonalities and differences, comparison of Latina/Latino experiences to those of other racial, ethnic and immigrant groups, and the potential for a pan-ethnic identity.
This class will have 4 synchronous discussions on June 20 and 28 and July 26 and 31.
