Math Careers Exploration Day on January 31

An excellent opportunity from our friends and neighbors in the Mathematics Department. Details below.

This is a save-the-date note for an exciting event the Department of Mathematics is planning for the morning of January 31.–and also for the Business Career Fair and the Engineering Career Services Career Fair on Jan. 29-30.

The Department of Mathematics is inviting companies who are interested in employing math majors (for both internships and full-time jobs) to come to Math Careers Exploration Day on January 31.  You will have the opportunity to talk to prospective employers.  If you’re a freshman, find out what these companies would like from you in the next few years.  If you’re a sophomore or junior, find out about internship opportunities.  If you’re a senior graduating soon, this is an EXCELLENT opportunity to make a good impression with a prospective employer.

January 29 and 30 are the dates for the spring Business Career Fair and Engineering Career Services Career Fair–it’s going to be a busy week for those of you seeking jobs.

So if there is any chance that you would like an internship or a full-time job after spring semester, please update your resume over winter break.  Then when you get back to campus in January, make sure to have the Career Center critique your resume–and if you can manage it, set up a Career Center mock interview, too.
