Health Disparities Seminar Series: Community Partnerships to Reduce Health Disparities

Please join us for this inaugural seminar series sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute in partnership with the College of Applied Health Sciences and the School of Social Work Community Learning Lab.

Health Disparities: Promoting Local and Global Health Equity <http://healthinstitute.illinois.edu/program-areas/health-disparities>  is IHSI’s newest program area. We are working closely with faculty, administration, and community partners to identify, expand, and support new research and community-based initiatives to reduce health disparities.

Community Partnerships to Reduce Health Disparities  <http://healthinstitute.illinois.edu/program-areas/health-disparities/health-disparities-seminar-series> features three community partnerships in the areas of increasing food security, improving maternal health outcomes, and advancing early childhood health. We invite all community members, students, staff, and faculty to attend these exciting seminars in an effort to make our community and nation a healthier and more equitable place.

The first session will be held on Tuesday, February 20. We hope you are able to attend and spread the word to others who may be interested in joining the discussion!
