ADB Lends Cambodia US$70 Million for Rice Commercialization, Finance Reforms

The Asian Development Bank signed a $55 million loan agreement with the Cambodian government to expand the country’s rice sector under a program called “The Climate-Resilient Rice Commercialization Sector Development Program (Rice-SDP)”. Smallholder Farmers’ Highway to Food Markets

A July 2013 FAO report, “Smallholder Integration in Changing Markets”, emphasizes the heterogeneity of subsistence farmers, concluding there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Innovations for Agricultural Value Chains in Africa

The Meridian Institute received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for a project that seeks to identify out-of-the box postharvest management and processing technologies. Guinness and ABL to Set up Processing Plants in Rural Areas

Guinness Ghana Ltd. and Accra Breweries Ltd. will soon start establishing processing plants in rural areas which have farms with huge production of cassava. Combating Aflatoxin – a Value Chain Approach
