User Support Documentation Specialist
This position is unpaid, but upon receiving the internship you will be eligible to get academic credit for it through ENGL 199-INT, Internship Seminar, a one-credit, eight- week online course that starts March 12, 2018.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Learn an application and be able tocreate documentation for users explaining the application
- Teach intended audience how to leverage the system
- Answer questions
A successful User Support Documentation Specialist will gain knowledge and experience with:
- Writing technical documentation for non-technical audiences
- Reviewing and analyzing metrics captured by the knowledge base tool
- Techniques for publishing different content on websites
- Communication skills required for working with technical staff and their non-technical users
Qualifications: LAS student with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong research skills and critical/analytical thinking ability. Must be independent and self‐motivated but also have the ability to work with various people on a variety of tasks.
