The SPELL project started as a pet project when my husband and I were doing our master degree research in the Netherlands. I was using Excel to do the statistical analysis of hydrologic time series and he needed tools to process and analyze spatially explicit data. He started writing small codes to manage, process, and analyze temporal and spatial data. Today, we put together tools that can help you do the same. The SPELL project puts together the functionality of a spreadsheet (e.g., EXCEL) and GIS (ArcGIS) applied specifically to manage and analyze hydrologic data. – Maria L. Chu
