MWSSE (pronounced as ‘muse’) is a hybrid research exchange for graduate students of the Linguistics departments of UIUC, U Chicago, U Indiana, University of Michigan, and University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
The research exchange started Fall 2023 to Spring 2024 between The University of Illinois’ Department of Linguistics and The University of Chicago’s Department of Linguistics participated as the UIUC & UChicago Research Exchange between the members of claSSi (UIUC) and Morph-Syn (UChicago). Since Fall 2024, the research exchange was broadened though to include more Midwestern universities and we are very excited to include U Indiana, University of Michigan, and University of Wisconsin Milwaukee among our new members! To reflect the more regional character of the exchange, it was also rebranded MWSSE following this expansion.
If you’d like to present this AY25-26 at the other participating universities, please check their schedule here and let Chae Eun know!
