This year, the Annual Tagore Festival is being celebrated through the performance of a play based on The Post Office (1912) by Tagore. George A. Miller Visiting Artist Suman Mukhopadhyay will present the play, with cast and crew from the campus and the Urbana-Champaign community. The version will be based on Vivek Narayan’s Walking to the Sun, in which Tagore’s original play is framed within the context of its performance in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942.
