Welcome back for the Fall 2021 semester! Please join us for our Fall 2021 Kickoff meeting, to be held September 1st, 2021 at 5:00pm in John Deere Pavilion (Mechanical Engineering Lab, room 2005: https://goo.gl/maps/ePqyXTh1DspPtJqB6). Start your semester right by having some ice cream and hanging out with your acoustics colleagues!

Please join us on Zoom on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 for our first meeting of the Fall 2020 semester. This meeting will feature of discussion of upcoming events for the fall semester, a presentation by Speech and Hearing Science Ph.D. student Tomas Sierra entitled “Distortion: the Physics Behind It,” and an opportunity to meet your acoustics colleagues. Please e-join us on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 for a presentation by Professor Jont Allen entitled “40 Years of Acoustics, and How to Use Sunlight and Sea-Water to Save the Planet”. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the seminar will be presented via Zoom. See the attached flier for details.

 

Acoustics at the University of Illinois will be hosting an inaugural event for all members on March 11 at 5:30pm, located on the second floor of the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory in John Deere Pavilion!  All academic levels (undergraduate, graduate, post-doc) are welcome, and pizza will be provided! We will be discussing our goals for the organization and the path forward to becoming an official Acoustical Society of America (ASA) student chapter, followed by a research presentation from Ignacio and a presentation on a fun acoustics topic. We hope to see you there!
