GSLIS Open House Sessions

Graduating soon and still looking for a career path? Considering professional schools such as law or MBA? Explore a career in the information professions! 
 
The Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is hosting a series of on-campus and virtual open house sessions beginning November 11. These open houses sessions will highlight a sampling of specializations including data science, community engagement, and youth services.  GSLIS offers a master’s degree that is highly interdisciplinary and our graduates have a vast array of career outcomes ranging from librarians and archivists in public libraries and universities to business data analysts and competitive intelligence researchers for Fortune 500 companies. 
 
Master’s program highlights: 
– Degree can be completed on-campus or online 
– Customizable 40-credit master’s program with only two required courses
– Additional specializations include Socio-Technical Data Analytics, Youth Services, and Special Collections Librarianship
– No GRE requirement when applicant has earned a 3.0 in the last two years of undergraduate study
