The Toddler Transition Project (TTP) seeks to understand the perspectives and psychological resources that mothers produce when their child transitions to a new childcare setting. Through a series of interactions between mother and child, maternal sensitivity was coded for in relation to their child’s emotional displays. Maternal physiological responses to attachment-related stimuli were also measured. Through further understanding of maternal perspectives and psychological resources through the transition to childcare, the PIs of this project can foster parent-caregiver partnerships and child development for those families most in need.
