Welcome to the Pedagogical Kinesiology Laboratory (PKL) housed in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)!

The UIUC PKL focuses on research related to teacher and teacher educator socialization, within physical education and adapted physical education contexts, the embodied knowledge of children and adults who experience disability, children’s physical activity, and social and emotional learning, organized by Drs. Kim C. Graber, Amelia Mays Woods, Kevin Andrew Richards, and Wesley J. Wilson.

The relative specific emphasis on these areas is fluid and responsive to social trends, the needs of the profession, and the specific interests of doctoral students pursuing research projects and dissertations.
