Laura Hendley is the Assistant Provost for Educational Innovation and is involved in shaping campus strategy and providing campus-wide support for innovations in classroom and online education. She assists academic units with the development of new types of educational programs, especially online programs, guiding campus policies around online programs, and promoting the use of data-driven research and analytics to improve student learning outcomes.
Ms. Hendley earned a BA in English literature from Birmingham-Southern College, an MS in education from Samford University, and a JD from Hamline University. Prior to joining the Office of the Provost, Ms. Hendley had over 12 years of experience in university administration. She most recently served as Director of the Bama by Distance at the University of Alabama.
