Where is the workshop schedule?

Where is the…

    • Hotel: Hyatt Place Hotel: 217 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820. The Hyatt Place Shuttle has been scheduled for each arriving flight at CMI. The shuttle has capacity for 11 passengers each trip. For questions about the shuttle, you can call the Hyatt Place directly at: 217-531-2800.
    • Welcome Reception & Networking Dinner (Wednesday, November 13, 6:30-8:30pm): Hamilton Walker’s: 201 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820 (right next door to Hyatt Place Hotel)
    • Workshop: Thomas M. Siebel Center for Computer Science: 201 N Goodwin Ave., Urbana, IL 61801

Is my hotel room covered by the workshop? Please note the check-out instructions.
Yes, hotel rooms are provided for all BPC Workshop Participants. Check-in is on Wednesday, November 13, and check-out is Friday, November 15. You will need to check-out of the hotel on Friday, November 15, and either have the Hyatt Place hold your luggage, or you may bring it with you on the bus and we will store it in Siebel Center.

Will the workshop reimburse:

    • Flights: Yes
    • Rental Cars: Yes, within these policy guidelines
    • Personal Vehicle Mileage: Yes
    • Train: Yes
    • Baggage Fees: Yes
    • Ground transportation in my hometown: Yes
    • Ground transportation in Champaign-Urbana: No. Local transportation is provided by the workshop. Note, this includes ground transport from Willard Airport (CMI)–please use the free Hyatt Place Hotel Shuttle
    • Meals or Per Diem for Meals: No. All meals are provided by workshop.
    • Parking Meters: No. Please utilize the free shuttles to and from Siebel Center. Hyatt Place Hotel Parking will be covered by the workshop–please have this billed to your hotel room.

How do I get reimbursed for my travel?
Please save all of your receipts and complete the BPC Travel Reimbursement Form (https://go.cs.illinois.edu/19BPCreimbursements) after completing your travel

If I’m driving, where can I park?
All workshop participants are strongly encouraged to park in the Hyatt Place Hotel Garage and utilize the Peoria Charter Buses to campus each morning and at the conclusion of each workshop day. Hyatt Place Hotel Parking will be covered by the workshop–please have this billed to your hotel room.

If you drive to campus, you are responsible for parking fees. Many meters use the Mobile Meter app.

How do I connect to the wireless network inside the Thomas M. Siebel Center for Computer Science?

How do I depart from Siebel Center on Friday, November 15th and get to Willard Airport (CMI) or back to the Hyatt Place Hotel?

To go directly to Willard Airport (CMI) from Siebel Center:
Participants have two options for getting to Willard Airport (CMI) from Siebel Center on Friday, November 15–please bring your luggage with you and we will have storage for it in Siebel Center

The workshop has arranged a 55-passenger Peoria Charter Bus departing Siebel Center (Matthews Ave. entrance) at:

  • 11:45am: to catch the 1:15pm flight at CMI
  • 1:00pm: to catch the 2:43pm or later flights at CMI

To go back to the Hyatt Place Hotel:
Participants have two options for getting back to the Hyatt Place Hotel from Siebel Center on Friday. Participants who have a later flights can return to the Hyatt Place Hotel to retrieve their own/rental cars or utilize the Hotel’s free shuttle to Willard Airport (CMI).

Please utilize these free shuttle options. The workshop will not reimburse for local transportation.
