Nastya is a senior currently working on developing computational algorithms to identify genetic regions under selection in the farm fox population. She joined the lab in September 2020 and first began with performing molecular work to discover and characterize haplotypes in wild and farm foxes. After a year, she began a computational project working with deep NGS data to develop a computational method for identifying haplotypes. She is pursuing a minor in Computer Science and hopes to do work in computational biology in the future.
