ABC World News Tonight With David Muir

The Newscast from David Muir concentrates on the tornadoes ripping through the Gulf States, presenting most of Craft’s seven values- timeliness, impact, conflict and proximity. The news story about the tornado covers the what, when and how it impacted the people who lives in that area. Blizzard warnings have been issued from coast to coast, preventing thousands of flights to take off. The so called “Monster Winter Storm” has been said to affect more than 50 million Americans. The news segment continues to cover stories about our president Donald J. Trump. Introducing a prominent figure like president Trump makes the story more interesting, and yet again adding on more value to the whole segment.

There was one particular part of tonight’s news that caught my interest. This was the story about Mr. Trump posting a tweet about his daughter Ivanka’s clothing line using his presidential Twitter account. I believe it was an act of love for his daughter and I think he had her well- being in best interest but nonetheless is was wrongful for him to use his power as president to do so. I think it was incredibly unethical and he has no place using his presidentship to promote any of his family member’s businesses. This was truly a conflict of interest, made by the president himself.
