Reflection of Research Argument

The assignment was to construct an argumentative essay proving our thesis of subject of our choice. I have been doing research and came up with a working thesis, and it was time to argue my point of view. My topic was sex education, and I wanted to prove why sex education is essential in a child’s life. I found scholarly sources, primary and secondary sources, as well as popular sources. Each source helped build my argument for sex education. I had tons of sources to use, but I had to narrow down to what I believed what was important for students to learn. Topics I believed were important are the different types of sex education, who should teach sex education, what age it should begin, how it’s taught in different cultures, and why it’s essential to everyone.

After getting feedback from professor, there were a few areas that needed polishing. I had to clarify things such as who “they” were and give more explanation about it. I had a few expletive construction errors that I had to correct. I also had to revise my conclusion because it was more of a summary, and by doing this I explained what I found interesting after doing this research. Overall, I had a pretty good essay, and it was nice to see how much my writing has developed over the semester.
