Hello! We’re the iSchool Writing Consultants for the Spring 2024 semester, and we’re really excited to be helping you to learn more about graduate-level writing and improve your writing skills.

Dr. Iftikhar Haider, Ph.D., is a writing consultant this semester. Iftikhar holds a Ph.D. in  Applied Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before starting his Ph.D., he graduated from UIUC with an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language. His areas of interest are ESL writing, language assessment, second language pragmatics, and computer-mediated communication. Iftikhar has also worked as Instructor TESOL at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Iftikhar has an extensive ESL writing experience. Outside of academic pursuits, he enjoys watching comedy movies, spends time with family, and plays cricket.
