The iSchool Writing Resources is the in-house writing support team for students at the iSchool. We are here to help you with your writing and help you feel more comfortable and confident in your skills. The writing consultants are not professors or evaluators. We are your peers and your classmates. We know the struggles of graduate-level writing and want to help you learn how to succeed and improve your writing skills.

While, as students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, you are more than welcome to seek writing help from the Writers Workshop at the Center for Writing Studies, the iSchool Writing Resources seeks to provide an alternative. Our services are only available to iSchool students, which means that there’s far less competition for appointments. Additionally, we get to know faculty expectations and assignments, allowing us to be even more helpful when we work with you on your assignments. We can also build rapport with you, the students, through repeat appointments, which is one of the reasons why we encourage you to make appointments with the same consultant. While we by no means require you to do so, we have found that it does help you as we can build on past appointments and help you grow even more in your writing skills and confidence therein.
