Food Pantries/Meal Opportunities
Food is a daily necessity and something everyone has a right to. Here is a list of food opportunities in Champaign County. If applicable, there will be an accessible link to the website by clicking on the highlighted name of the pantry. These various food pantries are divided into the area of location and serve both students and/or the local community.
The Canteen Run goes out every week all year round on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. It goes from 6:30 pm to about 9:00 pm each weeknight, and about 3:00-5:00 pm on Sundays. Featuring speakers, panels, and resources at the University of Illinois, all lunches introduce you to the cultures, histories, and societal issues that the diverse communities of our campus face. Programs take place from noon to 1 pm. Lunches are paid for in part by the Student Cultural Programming Fee.

Since 2012, UniPlace Christian Church has hosted a free community dinner for those in the Champaign-Urbana community. Every Wednesday during the University of Illinois academic school year, students at the university volunteer in the UniPlace Christian Church kitchen where they serve free meals to those who live in the Champaign-Urbana community.
