The Illinois Living Laboratory for Insurgent Architecture and Design is a transdisciplinary design research initiative. The team cultivates alternative community imaginaries as it undertakes projects that challenge social inequalities through spatial analysis, decolonization of technology, diegetic prototypes, design experiments, site-specific installations, and the co-creation of the built environment.
