Biography
Saurabh Sinha is a Professor of Computer Science and Willett Faculty Scholar at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is also a faculty member of the Carl R. Woese Institute of Genomic Biology and an affiliate of the Department of Entomology and of the Biophysics and Quantitative Biology program. Sinha serves as the Co-Director and Research PI of the NIH Center of Excellence for Big Data to Knowledge. His research on gene regulation and computational genomics has been supported by the NIH, the NSF and the USDA. He was a recipient of the NSF CAREER award in 2008, and of the UIUC Engineering Dean’s Award for Research Excellence in 2013. Web site: www.sinhalab.net
